We are in search of a loving family to be part of our guardian program!

 

A Guardian family will receive a puppy that will become part of our breeding program. We like to keep our on-site operation small and centered around our dogs so that we can give each and every dog the training, care and love it deserves, delivering you the healthiest and utmost quality of dog.  Stormy Acres will retain ownership and breeding rights of the dog.  We will require her to be brought back for approximately one to two weeks for breeding as well as for 8 weeks when the puppies are born. We contract for 5 litters and retain ownership until those litters are completed. The rest of the time she will be your family pet.  Normal vet visits, grooming and dog food will be your financial responsibility. 

Guardian home requirements:
1.    Must live within one hour of Stormy Acres.
2.    We prefer you have a fenced yard, but we may make acceptations for certain              situations.
3.    Must be financially able to afford normal vet visits, grooming and dog food.  The        dog should be professionally groomed every 6 to 8 weeks.
4.    Must be willing to feed dog food of breeder’s choice.  We currently use Diamond        brand dog food.
5.    Must be willing to have a home visit and sign guardian home contract.
6.    Be willing to take extra precautions during her heat cycles.  The dog cannot be            boarded while in heat.
7.    Must be willing to bring her to Stormy Acres for breeding and whelping of litter          according to a schedule designed by Stormy Acres.
